Your role:

The assignment is originated from the Digital Processing group under the Electronic Systems and IoT department, operating as a part of I&S IEN Product and Systems Engineering. The group is located in the High Tech Campus, HTC37.  As IEN, we support other Philips businesses in various projects from many diverse aspects such as software/firmware/hardware design development and so on. For this role, you will join a firmware design team that is predominantly working on FPGAs, sharing the same determination and high work standards that move Philips forward. Moreover, you will benefit from the guidance of a highly experienced supervisors in FPGA development.

  • Development of an existing image processing algorithm using C/C++
  • Using Vivado HLS tool to create RTL implementation (VHDL/Verilog) from C/C++ model.
  • Integration of the implemented design in an existing SoC platform
  • Validate using the existing hardware platform.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have already gained experience with coding in C/C++ via projects at school or internship;
  • You are studying towards your Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Engineering or any related study;
  • You have experience in RTL implementation and FPGA design development;
  • You are familiar with Xilinx FPGAs and design tools such as Vivado and HLS;
  • You are curious and eager to learn with a connecting attitude and a self-driven work discipline.

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata. 
  • Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our office, we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip). 
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net as a monthly allowance. 
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
