Sioux Technologies partners with a world-leading industrial microscope company to monitor their products at customer sites in order to unveil the full potential. Raw data from the instruments are analyzed and transformed into meaningful information. This project, aptly called Data to information (short: D2i), aims mainly at service engineers. Their daily responsibilities range from yielding better utilization to scheduling maintenance just in time, all made easier by this project. In this talk, you will get real insights in some project’s challenges, how features are realized and much more. The talk is given by two project members: Niek Ederveen and Nick Kuijpers.
Niek is software architect on the D2i project for almost two years now. In this role, he is responsible for the bigger picture and strategic technical decisions. He is specialized in client server solutions and was responsible for some automotive projects in the past, like car tracking. Nick is a software designer working on the D2i project for almost 3 years now. He is combining a technical role with a more process-oriented role, since he also fulfills the Scrum Master role within the team.
