LaTeX beginner course

Because of the enormous succes of last years LaTeX training TRAIN organises two more this year. On Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 October these trainings will take place from 18:30 untill about 21 o'clock. These trainingen are both about basic knowledge of LaTeX. On each day there are 50 spots, so sign up now!

Nowadays, LaTeX is the de facto standard in scientific text processing. It has built-in support for all sorts of mathematical characters, it can be used for lots of things, like homework, presentations and resumes and it makes your life a lot easier. As a mathematician you will first use LaTeX in Q1 during the Linear Algebra 1 course, as a computer scientist, you will use it during Data Structures in Q3.

We have asked Bor de Kock, who is famous for making LaTeX fun, to give you this training, we will provide some snacks and drinks so you will have something to snack while you're busy with scientific text processing.
