Het is de dinsdag week na de dinsdag van GLOW, dus jullie weten wat dat betekent: lichtkunst bij GEWIS! En hoe kunnen we dat beter doen dan met bier? Ben jij een ervaren en getrainde borrelaar? Ben je in staat alle toeters van de Gebroeders Scooter te verslaan zonder te sneuvelen? En kun je woensdagochtend in bed blijven liggen? Dan roepen wij jou op voor de grootste uitdaging van het jaar!

We nodigen de zielen uit die net zo dom zijn als wij om deze uitdaging aan te gaan. Er zullen nieuwe en speciale lichteffecten zijn met dank aan AViCo en de ABC, er zullen biertjes zijn van de BAC, er zullen verliezers zijn, en er zullen winnaars zijn. Ga de uitdaging aan! Hef je shotglas en doe je best!

Om 18:15 beginnen we onze uitdaging met de eerste run van 100 minuten. Na deze eerste strijd, zullen we een pauze hebben van ongeveer een uur om te genieten van eten van Snackcenter Eindhoven. Wanneer we al onze innerlijke kracht hebben teruggevonden, zullen we starten met de tweede run van 60 minuten. Omdat we ietwat aan de late kant beginnen, vragen we iedereen vriendelijk wat te eten/snacken voor de activiteit begint. Ook (zoals de activiteit al impliceert) verzoeken we iedereen geen alcohol te drinken voor de activiteit begint. Er zijn initieel 33 plekken beschikbaar, maar dit kan opgehoogd worden. Als de activiteit binnen een uur na het openen van de inschrijflijst vol is, zal er een loting plaatsvinden.

Vanwege de aard van deze activiteit raden wij ten zeerste aan dat alleen ervaren borrelaars deelnemen. Als je twijfelt, contacteer Roy, Gijs of Samuel.

It is widely known that in the time of the gladiators the "Gebroeders Scooter Totale Escalatie Centurion" was used to give rise to the strongest of warriors ever to walk on the face of the earth. However, it has been mentioned in the sacred texts that there was a ritual, a pathway, which if one would walk down that road they would become the ruler of Rome. Since then Rome is not quite wat it used to be, but the ritual still persists. The texts were simple; for one to become the ultimate gladiator they would not only have to defeat the "Gebroeders Scooter Totale Escalatie Centurion" part 1 but also the "Gebroeders Scooter Totale Escalatie Centurion 2.0"!

We would like to invite the few fools brave enough to walk down this road to join us. There will be new and special light effects provided by AViCo, there will be defeat and there must be victors. Rise up to the challenge! Raise your shot glass and do your best!

The planning will be to start part one at 17:30 and after 100 minutes we will have a 70 minute break to eat some food from the AMON (dinner list below). After you have restored your inner strength we will continue with part two and see who will survive.

Note: we will use flashing lights/strobes during this activity. Furthermore, food from AMON is at your own expense.

Heb je deze donderdag een calculus toets in de avond maar nog geen idee waar je gaat eten van te voren of achteraf? Geen zorgen! AViCo organiseert de Frietkarborrel waar je wat lekkere frietjes en een snack kunt scoren voor avondeten zodat je daar geen zorgen over hoeft te maken. Het beste: als eerstejaars krijg je het helemaal gratis! (voor de rest hebben we natuurlijk ook een goede korting)

On GMM 187, it was decided that the party lights in the GEWIS room would be replaced. The new lights will be installed on the 31st of May, meaning that we have the old lights left over. As promised during that GMM, these lights will be sold to GEWIS members for a friendly price, namely 30 euros per light. Note that this is 5 euros more than originally budgetted, but this is because of increased installation costs for the new lights. The lights we are selling are Showtec LED PAR 56 Short Pro RGB's. They include a power cord, but to chain them toghether, you will need to buy your own DMX cabling. You can find the specifications in the manual of the Showtec LED PAR 56 Short Pro RGB.

The lights will be sold in pairs. To become eligible to buy a pair, you can subscribe to this activity below. There are 19 lights in total, meaning that one person will get only one light. If there are more than 10 people subscribed, there will be a draw. The draw also determines the 10th person who can buy the single light. If there are less than 10 people subscribed, There will be a draw to determine the order of who can buy a second pair as well (if you want to). The draw will take place on the 30th of May.

The lights have to be picked up on Tuesday the 31st of May, because there is no space to store them after they have been removed from the ceiling. If due to circumstances the new party lights cannot be hung on the 31st, the pickup moment will also be moved.
