Aan het einde van ieder kalenderjaar buigen wij ons, als ware Bourgondische edelen, over onze verworvenheden, terwijl alle nederlagen worden verdronken in de rijkste jaargangen die de kelder te bieden heeft. De traditie schrijft voor dat er glazen geheven dienen te worden, en na eeuwen van overvloedig proosten zullen zij, hoe onwaarschijnlijk ook, uiteindelijk leeg raken. Maar waar viert men zulke triomfen waardig? In Vino Veritas kent Hèt Antwoord, en het luidt: met overdaad.
In het weekend van 11 tot en met 13 december neemt u, tezamen met de heren van In Vino Veritas, uw intrek in een weids château, verscholen tussen de glooiingen van de Acht Zaligheden van Noord-Brabant. Daar, waar de plafonds hoog genoeg zijn voor uw luidste toast en de wijn onophoudelijk blijft stromen als een rivier die geen bodem kent, zult u ondergedompeld worden in gezelligheid, weelde en lekkernijen tot u niets meer te wensen overhoudt.
Op vrijdag zet u koers naar het westen van Eindhoven, alwaar u met open armen en gevulde glazen ontvangen zult worden. Een toost zal klinken, een maaltijd zal als bij toverslag verschijnen, en gaandeweg zult u zich overgeven aan het moment, ontdaan van alle zorgen die de buitenwereld nog mocht hebben. De zaterdagmiddag staat, geheel in stijl, bol van belevenissen waarmee u uw kleinkinderen nog zult vermaken. Terwijl u zich buiten te buiten gaat aan dit alles, trekken enkele leden van Hèt Dispuut zich terug in de keuken om een weergaloos 7-gangendiner te bereiden, een menu tot in de puntjes gecomponeerd door niemand minder dan onze hooggeachte Dux Luxuriae zelve.
Op dit weergaloze weekend is plaats voor slechts 26 man. Poets dus uw meest glimmende schoenen, strijk uw fijnste overhemd tot in de naden, en laat u ook dit jaar wederom verleiden tot datgene wat het leven werkelijk de moeite waard maakt.

P.S. Gezien de locatie zich op een steenworp afstand van Eindhoven bevindt, kunt u zich per fiets of openbaar vervoer naar deze tempel van overvloed begeven. Hèt Dispuut verzorgt dit jaar dan ook geen auto-indeling; uw weg naar het genot dient u op eigen kracht af te leggen. Reiskosten worden vanzelfsprekend niet vergoed.
P.P.S. De inschrijflijst opent op maandag 31 augustus 2026 om 18.35 uur. Mochten de 26 plekken binnen het uur zijn volgestroomd, dan zal het lot beslissen wie mag aanschuiven; is dat niet het geval, dan geldt "first come, first serve". Bij inschrijving kunt u aangeven of u gebruik wenst te maken van het vegetarische menu.
P.P.P.S. Wegens beperkingen in mankracht, budget en ruimte kunnen wij helaas niet garanderen dat aan alle overige dieetwensen tegemoet wordt gekomen. Veganistisch is dan ook vermoedelijk geen optie. Bij allergieën nemen wij mogelijk contact met u op, aangezien kruisbesmetting in de keuken niet volledig kan worden uitgesloten.

Are you ready for underground adventures in Valkenburg? Tight tunnels. Pitch-black passages. Walls you'll be clinging to. On Saturday October 3rd, we're ditching the daylight and heading deep into the dark underground for a day that'll push you way outside your comfort zone.
Whether you're squeezing through narrow cave corridors on a bike, conquering rock walls in the dark, or venturing into the unknown on an adventurous cave tour, this is the kind of day you'll still be talking about at the next borrel!
There are 3 activities, out of which you will do 2! When signing up, rank your top 2 activity preferences:
🚲 Cave biking
Discover this great underground landscape, by cave bike! Cycle through the cave, going left, right, seeing a high ceiling, then low again, narrow, spacious, no idea where you are anymore.
🔦 Adventurous cave tour
During this escape tour through the caves, you will discover the stories of the quarry workers, and encounter obstacles they left behind. There will be crawling, sneaking, shooting and even crossing the water!
🧗 Cave climbing
The Scramble Tour will take you to places that normally remain closed to the public. One of the guides will take you over several challenging courses including a via ferrata, and an abseil into the old well. Manoeuvre over the obstacles and stare into the depths.
💭 No preference
Be aware: activities will be split 10/10/10 across the group, so you might not get your 2 faves.

Meet MaTCo! Our first session of the year, where we will introduce new members, new faculty, and the new board. Plans for this year's sessions and for the International Mathematics Competition team will be covered, and we will ease members into mathematical Olympiad style problem-solving with an array of interesting questions and tasks. If you are interested in challenging yourself in one of the world’s largest math competitions for university students, wish to practice hard but rewarding problems, or are looking for a community to discuss and attend activities with, then be sure to pop over.
The B.O.O.M. Outdoor Cinema returns on September 15th! We have carefully selected two incredible movies to watch together under the stars (the titles remain secret for now!).
We will fire up the barbecue and there will be popcorn, both included in the price! And, because no great movie night is complete without a refreshing drink, beers and soft drinks will be available to purchase during the night.
Make sure to bring your own camping chair so you are comfortable during the movies!

Wat nou als we de intro week opvolgen met een intro weekend? Schrijf je nu in voor de FLUP (Intro Follow Up Weekend)!
In het weekend van 11 tot 13 september nemen we je mee naar een onvergetelijk avontuur op een geheime locatie! Het weekend zal gevuld zijn met activiteiten, gratis eten en bergen plezier! Voor maar €15,- voor eerstejaars en €30,- (Je krijgt zelfs €5 korting als je niet van plan bent bier te drinken bij de cantus) voor oudere jaars is het goedkoper dan thuisblijven! Als je alleen maar op zaterdag beschikbaar bent kost je ticket maar €20 (+€5 als je bier drinkt bij de cantus).
Dus als jij al uitkijkt naar een hoop bier en fris, zitzakken en banken, spelletjes, een barbecue, een geweldige kroegentocht en een cantus... Zoek je favoriete lid van het bestuur of de introcommissie, of ga naar gew.is/flup en koop een ticket!

Zodra je alles hebt ingepakt, kun je je spullen op vrijdag 11 september tussen 8:30 en 13:00 naar de tafeltennistafels in de Markthal brengen. Iemand van de introductiecommissie (in rode overalls) staat daar klaar om te helpen.
Vrijdagmiddag beginnen we bij GEWIS met de fietskroegentocht. Je bent vanaf 15:30 welkom bij GEWIS, en we sturen mensen weg tot 17:30. Zorg dat je fiets werkende verlichting heeft, voor je eigen veiligheid en die van anderen. Je hoeft nog niet gegeten te hebben, want je eet samen met je fietsgroep tijdens de kroegentocht.
Kom aanstaande donderdag gezellig langs bij de BAC borrel! Nu het weer nog goed is, is dit waarschijnlijk een van de laatste buitenborrels van het jaar. Laten we het goede weer vieren!

AViCo & BAC organizes the Frietkarborrel, a social drink where you can get yourself some nice chips (French fries) and a snack for dinner, so you don’t have to worry about that yourself.
And the best: if you are a first year you even get one item for free! If you are still hungry after that, it is €2,25 per additional snack or portion of fries.
We welcome you all to come somewhere between 16:30 and 20:00 to the Frietkarborrel at the Simon Stevin field (between the Markthall and the pond). No need to sign up! There will be enough fries for everyone!
Even if you do not have a calculus start test, you are welcome to join and get some nice food and a couple of drinks.

After a hectic introduction week where you have (hopefully) made a lot of new friends it is time to really start your student life. And no student life without studying. However, you might already heard a lot of concepts you have never heard of, like "Canvas", "TE Timetable", "Plan App" or "Osiris". But don’t be afraid! There is no need to worry. Attending this training will teach you all the basics you need to know to survive all the software at the TU/e.
In case there are more then 70 people that want to attend, there will be a "first come, first serve" policy. In that case the remainder can view the session online.
Don’t forget to bring your laptop!

Elk jaar draagt zijn eigen beproevingen en zijn eigen genoegens met zich mee. Voor de eerstejaars die net aan zijn studie begint, en voor de oudgediende die reikhalzend verlangt naar een salaris boven modaal, geldt dezelfde stille verwachting: dat er iets moois van het jaar gemaakt wordt. Die invulling verschilt van persoon tot persoon, en wat voor de één een sleur is, voelt voor de ander als een verzetje. Toch is er één zekerheid waarop ieder lid blindelings kan vertrouwen: De Maand'lijksche Borrel van Hèt Dispuut "In Vino Veritas".
Zoals elk jaar luiden wij het nieuwe academische jaar graag in met stijl en overvloed. En zoals elk jaar streven wij ernaar u iets extra's te bieden, bovenop wat u reeds van ons gewend bent. Witte, rode en mousserende wijnen zullen rijkelijk vloeien, opdat aan al uw wensen tegemoet wordt gekomen. Ook de gebruikelijke delicatessen zullen op tafel prijken. Nieuw dit jaar is de kennis die wij met trots mogen delen: drie van onze heren togen naar Reims om zich te bekwamen in de fijne kunst van de champagne, in de leer bij het gerenommeerde huis Pommery.
Als kersverse kenners zullen wij u dit fenomeen, deze borrel, met liefde en verfijning ontvouwen. Wij nodigen u dan ook van harte uit om ons te vergezellen op 31 augustus om 17:00 uur. Voor hapjes, en natuurlijk rijkelijk wijn, wordt uiteraard gezorgd.
Wij zien u graag in gepaste kleding, klaar voor een avond van decadentie.

Swing by to pick up your new study books before your first year kicks off… and stick around while you’re at it. It’s a perfect chance to meet up with fellow students, and friends you made during intro. You can also connect with GEWIS members. At this activity you can play games, chill on bean bags, and do some fun sports, while enjoying some refreshing drinks!

We'd like to invite all Introparents of the introduction week '26 to the Introparent Bonding Activity! As you all (hopefully) know, this year's theme is Absolute Cinema. Therefore, before attending the introduction week, you'll have to show what you're worth behind the screens.
During this activity you will have to be smart like Oppenheimer, fast like Lightning McQueen, and show teamwork like The Avengers. To make sure each duo will bond well, we have a final prize for the winner!
You will also get some free snacks and drinks so that your tape won't run out of frames to make an amazing film out of this amazing activity!
Only one of the parents needs to sign up, along with their duo.
De Jagers van de BAC zaten eens te denken, wat zij aan de borrelaars kunnen schenken.
Met dit mooie weer kunnen wij maar aan één ding denken, een picknick borrel!! Lekker in het zonnetje knus op een kleedje zitten met een verrukkelijke versnapering, het kan niet romantischer. Om deze borrel nog wat leuker te maken, hebben we ook nog wat gethematiseerde drankjes geregeld!
Voor maar €1,95 bent u de gelukkige eigenaar van een heerlijk glaasje Aperol Spritz!!! En als die niet bij u in de smaak valt, dan hebben wij voor €1,95 een overheerlijke Limoncello Spritz.
Natuurlijk hebben wij ook nog wat heerlijke hapjes geregeld voor deze picknick. Er worden al wat hapjes uitgedeeld, maar voor de hongerige hertjes hebben wij ook nog wraps voorbereid. Een lekkere kip of vega wrap voor maar €1,05.

De zomer is in volle gang en dat kan maar één ding betekenen: het is weer tijd voor de terugkeer van ons geliefde “Spel met Ballen”!
Na het daverende succes van de vorige editie combineren we dit sportieve hoogstandje wederom met de Maand'lijksche borrel. Een perfecte middag dus, waarbij inspanning en ontspanning elkaar mooi afwisselen: eerst de ballen de baan op, daarna een goed glas wijn en wat lekkers erbij om bij te komen van al dat geweld.
Voel u zich sterk genoeg? Schrijf u dan samen met een partner in voor het officiële “Spel met Ballen”-toernooi en strijd tegen andere teams om de eeuwige roem en de begeerde wisselbeker. Let op: de inschrijving sluit op de zondag vóór de activiteit, dus wacht niet te lang!
Heeft u liever geen zin om zelf de baan op te gaan? Ook dan bent u van harte welkom om gezellig aan te sluiten bij de borrel en de sfeer te proeven.

Every year, the Introduction Committee needs intro parents to house all new students. In this form, you will be able to subscribe to the introduction week as a introduction parent with one of your friends!
The introduction week is from 17/08/2026 until 21/08/2026. This means that you HAVE to be available during those times. Next to that, there will also be a training day during the holidays where you need to be present. This day is on the Saturday before the intro week, so 15/08/2026. If you are currently studying, you can be an intro parent!
You don't need to be a GEWIS member. If you want to sign up with your wannabe co-parent, fill in the form below! In case that you want to become an intro parent but don't have a co-parent, do not hesitate to email us at intro@gewis.nl and we will help you find one!

Need a vACAtion from CAlculations, appliCAtions, and ACAdemic distrACtions? Come join the AC for a (mildy) ACtive outdoor ACtivity pACked with attrACtion, reACtion, interACtion, and maybe even a little bit of chaos!
Wear sporty shoes and prepare for some ACtion. We won't venture ACross the forest, but there's a fair chance you'll ACcumulate a bit of mess as the excitement ACcelerates. ACcurACy is optional; enthusiasm is ACcepted and encouraged!
While other teams are in ACtion, you'll have plenty of ACpACity for relaxation: bring your snACks, drinks, picnic blanket, and enjoy the atmosphere. Consider it a combination of recreation, social interACtion, and strategic snACk ACquisition.
Whether you're an ACAdemic ACe, an ACcomplished athlete, or just someone seeking ACceptance into a CAsual gathering after exam season, this ACtivity has something for everyone. Expect laughter, friendly competition, spectACular reACtions, and maybe a few ACcidental victories.
On the 2nd of July, we will host the inauguration drink for the 45th board of GEWIS! During the inauguration drink, a lot of external associations, the department board, GEWIS bodies and members can come to congratulate the new board. We will celebrate their installation with a night full of free drinks and amazing memories.
For the inauguration drink, we do need a lot of volunteers. We have to empty the room, protect the board and guestbook during the drink and bring the board home after the drink. We would like to know whether you are available for any of these tasks. Please note: bringing the board home means you are sober. If you are available, please fill in this form.
The obligatory infomeeting, at which everything about the order committee will be explained, takes place on Wednesday June 17th from 12:40 till 13:20. The location will be announced later!
Note that for non-volunteers, the borrel starts around 19:00 (the internal part).
