Het is welbekend dat hoe verder je naar het zuiden gaat, hoe gekker mensen op carnaval worden. Aangezien Eindhovenaren al best gek zijn op carnaval, is het bijna niet voor te stellen hoe zot mensen in Limburg zijn!

Aangezien carnaval in Mestreech misschien wel te zot is voor sommige van jullie, zal de GEWIS prins jullie in plaats daarvan naar Remunj (Roermond) brengen, wat je ook een idee zou moeten geven wat Limburgse gezelligheid inhoudt. Maak je geen zorgen als je niet bekend bent met de stad of Limburg in het algemeen, want de prins weet precies welke plekken een bezoekje waard zijn!

Schrijf je nu in, plunder je lokale toko voor wat VVO'tjes (Versnaperingen Voor Onderweg), en bereid je voor op een zotte dag vol met herinneringen die je nooit zal vergeten!

Ook dit jaar zal GEWIS weer samen met de prins de Stropdas Kroegentocht lopen. Zoals altijd zal deze op de zondag (15 februari) van carnaval plaatsvinden. De kaartverkoop gaat al op 4 december om 12:00 open. Normaal gesproken zijn alle stropdassen binnen 20 minuten uitverkocht. Wees er dus snel bij aangezien je je eigen stropdas moet regelen en OP=OP.

Het is weer zover, eindelijk na een heel jaar weer Carnavallen! Niks beter dan te beginnen met de GEWELDIGE Carnavalsborrel waar iedereen wordt klaargestoomd om de rest van de week te feesten. Er is een flitsende fotobooth waar je je mooiste outfit kan showen, ook zullen er wat gratis drankjes van de Prins komen! Uiteraard kan je ook genieten van heerlijke worstenbroodjes. Dus kom gezellig feesten bij GEWIS!🍻🍻

Het is alweer bijna 11-11 en dat betekent dat het Carnavalsseizoen weer gaat beginnen! Traditie getrouw onthult de Carnavals Commissie weer de GEWIS Prins op deze dag en dat doen we dit jaar met een fantastische pubquiz. Test je Carnavals kennis, kom erachter wie de nieuwe Prins is en win een leuke prijs. Schrijf je in met een team van maximaal 4 en laat zien wat je weet.

De inloop is van 18:00-18:15, de pubquiz begint om 18:15.

Er zullen snacks zijn, schrijf je in zodat wij weten hoeveel snacks we moeten halen.

The Carnavals Committee is looking for a Carnaval name for GEWIS, and we need your help!

In the Netherlands, most cities that celebrate Carnaval take on a different name during this festive time. All of a sudden, we don’t talk about getting a Schrobbelèr shot in Tilburg — no, no, we get one in Kruikenstad! The stropdassenkroegentocht is not a thing in Eindhoven it is a big thing in Lampegat! You don’t celebrate vastenavend in Bergen op Zoom, we go to Krabbegat! Ever seen the parade in Breda, Den Bosch, Maastricht, or Sittard? Never! Maybe in Kielegat, Oeteldonk, Mestreech, or Zitterd though!

Even smaller towns have their own funny names, like Klompengat, Ganzegat, Toeterland, Kattegat, Narregat, Kakkersgat, Theebuikenland, Bommeldurp, Dwèrsklippelgat, Kaaiendonk… and we could go on and on, but we’ll spare you :)

So, as the CC, of course we want to have a beer at “GEWIS,” but it would be so much more fun to have lots of beers at... ???

This year, the Carnaval Committee has decided to change up things a bit. Instead of going to Mestreech, this year the GEWIS prince will take you all to visit Kielegat (Breda) on Carnaval Monday!

We will travel to Breda by train to celebrate Carnaval there. During this day, we will do a pub crawl through the city centre and also go to watch the large parade to enjoy the sight of beautiful wagons all while enjoying some nice drinks!

Kom samen met de Prins drankspellen spelen om vervolgens met zn allen Stratum in te gaan. Op deze geweldige avond hebben we allerlei drankspellen zoals kingsen, bierpong en driemannen. Als de avond dan bij GEWIS ten einde loopt gaan we met zoveel mogelijk nog Stratum opzoeken. Dus doe je leukste Carnavalsoutfit aan en kom lekker Carnavallen!

Het is weer die tijd van het jaar, carnaval komt eraan! Om die reden maken wij traditiegetrouw GEWIS' nieuwe prins carnaval bekend op de welbekende datum 11 november, de elfde van de elfde, elluf/elluf, hoe je het maar wil noemen! We doen dit door middel van spelletjes die je in een groepje van 3 of 4 succesvol moet volbrengen, om een hint te krijgen over wie de nieuwe prins gaat zijn. Er zijn genoeg snacks aanwezig en de activiteit is volledig gratis!

Uiteraard zal deze prachtige datum ook op Stratum in het teken staan van carnaval en daarom gaan we naderhand gezellig de stad in met wie dat graag wil. Vergeet niet verkleed te komen, we zien je dan!

Looking forward to the holiday? Well let's get started then at the BAC x CC Carnavalsborrrrel! At the borrel, which is of course extended to 9PM, you can enjoy the classic start of Carnaval at GEWIS, which this year is also a preview of the Stropdassen Pub Crawl on Sunday!

So put on your carnavaloutfit, come to the Dakterras, get a borrelkaart, take some lovely pictures with your friends in the photobooth and have a grand time!

Now that the 11th of November has passed and the carnavals season has officially started, we cannot longer go further without a carnavals Prince. Which is why this Wednesday we will announce the new Prince carnaval of GEWIS!

Before we can do so, we first have to test your knowledge on the Carnaval tradition, which is why we will be holding the amazing Carnavals Pubquiz this year. Test your Carnaval knowledge and get to know who the next Prince of GEWIS will be and maybe also win a prize! So, sign up with a group of 4 and show us what you know! There is a maximum of 40 participants and teams will be selected on a first come first serve basis.

The walk-in will be from 18.00 till 18.15, the pubquiz will start at 18.15

We will provide snacks for you, so if you plan on joining please subscribe such that we know how much to buy!

The morning after the carnavals borrel we will provide you with a delicious hangover breakfast such that you can recover quickly and continue celebrating carnaval!
But don’t get out of bed too late cause there is only a limited supply of food.

Het is bijna weer die tijd van het jaar. Het mooiste feest komt er weer aan, Carnaval! Om dit mooie feest af te trappen organiseren de BAC en de CC een super leuke carnavalsborrrrel.
