Description

Junior (Linked) Data Specialist (EN)

Working at Wistor / BIM-Connected means working for a growing, exciting, energetic, and pioneering company. We work professionally and independently to provide our customers with the best possible service. We work on challenging digitization projects for large public and private customers in the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors. Our expertise helps them improve their business processes and work more on the basis of factual data. We help structure data and thereby work more efficiently. We make data valuable so that the customer always has the right information at their disposal. In doing so, we follow a data-centric philosophy. Data first. The application follows.

Wistor is our platform that supports this philosophy. It is a scalable, flexible, and modular platform that is configured on top of datasets recorded in open data standards. Data (from multiple sources) is harmonized, visualized, and analyzed. Linked data is the engine and backbone of the Wistor platform. It is the technology used to set up information models and create links between 2D and 3D data, among other things.

Job Description
We are looking for:

An enthusiastic colleague (junior/medior) who has a keen interest in and affinity with information technology. Specifically, you have knowledge of and belief in data-centric working. You love innovation and like to be at the forefront with specific knowledge in order to advise customers as effectively as possible. You have knowledge of data models, programming and/or modeling languages, enabling you to communicate with multiple roles such as a data specialist and software developer. In addition, your experience has given you the knowledge and skills to convince (potential) clients of the benefits of open (data) standards. You are also assertive and can handle freedom and flexibility well, because that's what you'll get!

This is what you will be doing:

Exciting and challenging projects focused on digitization and Linked Data technology. You will be working with your colleagues in the digitization/innovation department of a large-scale company, where you will help to better structure, analyze, and use information, mostly about built objects. Or you will be part of an internal project team, ensuring that the Wistor platform is configured optimally to meet customer needs. And even exceed their expectations! You will talk to multiple roles to carry out the project as desired and create support among the end users. Think of project leaders and data architects, but also skilled specialists. Your knowledge and advice will be greatly appreciated given the high degree of innovation/renewal. This makes your work diverse and, above all, challenging!

Your working environment:

Our home base is located in the Strijp-S district of Eindhoven. A place where innovative companies are located in old renovated factory buildings. Our office has an informal atmosphere where colleagues work together as a close-knit team. The office is easily accessible by both car and public transport. We would like to see you at our office at least one day a week (Fridays). The other days, you are free to work wherever you like, in consultation with any clients, of course. How we do our work is more important than where we do it.

Your profile

Do you have...

•         a HBO or WO degree/background;

•         the knowledge to explain the added value of open data standards;

•         (basic) knowledge of Linked Data (RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL);

•         an understanding of the difference between application, information model, and instance data.

And are you also energetic and ambitious in your work?

Cool, come in for an interview!

Our offer

Hard work is well rewarded. That's why we offer you:

•         A gross monthly salary of up to €4,500*. Further growth possible.

•         Profit sharing.

•         An annual training budget of €2,000.

•         A contract for a minimum of 32 hours per week.

•         30 vacation days*, plus the option to purchase 10 additional days.

•         Laptop, phone, ergonomic office chair: everything you need to do your job.

•         A public transportation business card or travel allowance.

•         4 hours per week* to spend on your own development and/or innovation projects.

•         Lunch, snacks, coffee... because you can't work on an empty stomach.

* based on a 40-hour working week
