Month'like Drink: I.V.V Friends from Before Social Drink

Dear members of GEWIS,

There are moments in life when one realises that the world outside the blue bubble of our beloved campus has carried on without you. The friends of your past, those with whom you once made Hugo a soldier while someone over eighteen went to fetch fresh refreshments, are now grown adults with grown-up schedules and a disturbingly stable sleep pattern.

We consider this unacceptable.

In Vino Veritas therefore invites you, with some pride and a well-stocked wine cellar, to bring along your friends of old to our magnificent red association room. For although you may by now be a different person than the one they once knew, wine, charcuterie and pleasant company are timeless constants that effortlessly dissolve any dissonance.

On Friday the 22nd of May, you and your invited guests are welcome from 18:00 for the Month'like Social Drink, where we will show them how our bubble operates.

Show them why your study credits still comfortably bivouac in the respectable regions below one hundred ECTS, while you nonchalantly uncork a bottle and order a charcuterie board as though there is no tomorrow. Reminisce together about how everything was better in the old days, and about how you have since become the most refined version of yourself.

Should you be unable to locate any friends from the past, or should you simply prefer to make new ones, this drinks event offers ample opportunity for that as well. To lubricate this process of acquaintance, a portonic will also be on the menu alongside wine and charcuterie.

So pick up your pen, paper and carrier pigeon (or, for the less romantically inclined members: your phone) and let those dear to you know.

We look forward to an evening of reunited company, endearing anecdotes and well-deserved decadence.
