Legacy software: Where did the greenfields go?
In university you learn about building software systems from scratch. But what is not teached during class, is how to deal with legacy software. And the chance that you will have to work with legacy software is a lot higher than writing new software. What is legacy software actually, how can we deal with it, and why can it be more fun than greenfield projects?
