GEZWEM will be having a sailing weekend yet again, this year on the weekend of the 1st of May! We will be charting the wild northern waters of Sneekermeer, in what is known as Dutch-Scandinavia or Fryslân.
The weekend will be filled with amazing adventures, sailing the seas to new lands, finding treasure in authentic brown pubs, and sharing stories, laughter, and rum between our tents.
For a fair price, we will organize a ship with a crew, quarters (bring your own tent), sustenance, and drink for you to stay and enjoy the riches of the GEZWEM sailing weekend (note that transport is not included in the price).
So join us in this wonderful weekend and endanger the waters of Fryslân during the day, and the brownest of pubs at night. No sailing experience required!!

The wild waters of the seven seas have brought us back to 't Dakterras once more, ready to present you with the Pirate Borrel! Assemble your burliest crew, pack your knapsacks, and prepare for the journey. Be sure to leave your drinks and food at home, because there will be plenty for you to enjoy! We will have chicken wings and pineapple pieces, Lowlander tropical ale, and a borrelcard for you to devour. Of course when you've tasted it all, the trusty beer of the BAC will calm your stormy stomach once more.

Set your course for a grand adventure across the serene waters of Loosdrecht, where the wind will be our guide and the sails our wings. Step aboard the trusty Polyvalk, a sturdy vessel fit for both seasoned sailors and eager newcomers alike. With room for up to five souls per boat, there’s space for everyone, whether you wish to take the helm or simply relax and soak in the beauty of the day.
With several experienced sailors on board, you'll be in good hands throughout the voyage. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor yourself or completely new to the waters, there’s no need to worry! We’ll guide you through every step of the way. You’ll have the freedom to take part as much or as little as you like. If the weather is kind, take a refreshing dip in the lake or just sit back and enjoy the ride from the comfort of the boat. And don’t worry, if swimming isn’t for you, you can stay dry and still enjoy the adventure!
At midday, we’ll chart a course to a charming island for a well-deserved lunch break. Picture yourself stepping ashore, the sun shining overhead, surrounded by the calm of nature. We’ll relax, share stories, and enjoy good company as we take in the views and savor our meal.
No previous sailing experience is required to join this voyage. It’s all about having a good time on the water, no matter your skill level. So gather your friends, bring your sense of adventure, and prepare for a memorable day!
We’re making travel arrangements, and if we can gather enough cars, we’ll drive together to Loosdrecht. Otherwise, we’ll hop on public transport and make the journey part of the adventure.

Druing the weekend of the 16th until the 18th of May we will set sail on the tropical waters of the Snakermere in Fryslân. Do you see yourself joining our sailing adventure to the most authentic brown pub far and wide? Then grab your treasure map, fill your hold with beer and rum and sign up as fast as you can!
For only a few ducats (we accept euros as well) we'll fix a polyvalk for you and your friends, a camping spot (unfortunately you will have to arrange the tent yourself), food and drinks! Join us in this wonderful weekend and endanger the waters of Fryslân during the day, and the the brownest pubs at night. No sailing experience required!

For only 55 ducats or 45 for first years and 103 for non-members (we also accept euros💸), we will arange a polyvalk for you and your friends, a camping spot (bring your own tent⛺ or share with a friend), food and beverages! GEZWEM has been organising and enjoying sailing activities since 1998 for GEWIS. This year we are inviting you to enjoy the waves and cool beers at yet another zeildag! We will be spending a Saturday at the beautiful Loosdrechtse Plassen and sail valkjes that can seat up to 5 people. That means you don't even have to know how to sail to join us! Is there really anything better you'll be doing that Saturday? If not, why not consider joining us and some friends for a day of wonderful sailing?!

This location is quite far and thus not that easily reachable by public transport, therefore, cars are preferable. If you can arrange a car, please mention this in the enrol-form.
There are 33 spots available for the weekend. In case there are more enrollments we will have a draw after the sign-up list is closed. Preference will be given to skippers. (On every boat one person with enough sailing experience to safely sail a boat full of inexperienced people is needed. This person is the skipper)
First-year students can go for just 25 euros!
ARGHH shipmen!! In preparation for the legendary sailing weekend that we are going to organize in Q4, a beautiful GEZWEM activity is coming up! This time it will take place again in the way you are used to from us, but then squeezed into 1 day. We will enter the waters at Riverside Outdoor & Events (in Appeltern) in falcon boats, with 4-5 people per boat, and then enjoy a wonderful day of sailing. Sailing experience is not necessary! We will travel together from Eindhoven to the sailing location. We could still use a number of cars for this because the location is difficult to reach by public transport.
There are only 25 spots available so subscribe quickly! If there are more than 25 subscriptions by the time the subscription deadline has passed, there will be a draw.
ARGHH!! After the Legendary sailing weekend on the Vrijheid, GEZWEM will organize another sailing activity!
This time it will take place the way you are used to, but now squeezed in 1 day.
We will enter the waters at Sailcenter Limburg in falcon-boats, each carrying 4-5 passengers, to enjoy a fabulous day of sailing! Sailing experience is not required!
We will travel together from Eindhoven to the sailing location by public transportation.

Unlike other years instead of sailing on small 'valkjes' we will go sailing on the ship De Vrijheid (The Freedom), a large three-master. With this beautiful ship we tour around the IJsselmeer. The exact route and sights strongly depend on the weather, so we will announce those later.
If you're up for a weekend of sailing on a beautiful ship combined with drinking some rum and beer, enroll yourself for the 20th edition of the GEZWEM weekend, our 4th lustRUM weekend!
There is also the opportunity to only join us on the Saturday for one day of sailing of you sadly can't make it for the whole weekend.
We will leave from Enkhuizen which is well accessible by public transport.
Caution: the capacity for the 'Entire Weekend' package is at most 34 persons, and the capacity for the 'Saturday Only' package is at most 12 persons. In this subscription list, we will apply a draw on those who subscribe before 12 September, and the maximum capacity has been exceeded. The exact route and sights strongly depend on the weather, so we will announce those later.
If you're up for a weekend of sailing on a beautiful ship combined with drinking some rum and beer, enroll yourself for the 20th edition of the GEZWEM weekend, our 4th lustRUM weekend!
