Hi there! Would you like to do some sightseeing, despite the obvious reasons why we can’t do a hitchhiking weekend? GELIFT, which has organised a hitchhiking competition in Europe for the last 6 years, is now organising a GeoGuessr competition. There will be different rounds, with different game modes of approximately 10-15 minutes. There will even be a prize for the best GeoGuessr and everyone gets to use a GeoGuessr pro account! GEWIS is going to Switzerland in the first weekend of October, 4, 5 and 6 October! But how fast remains to be seen. If you go along with GELIFT, not only do you get an incredible hitchhiking competition, you also receive a cheap city trip to Luxembourg and Basel! All for the price of only €60,-! What you get:
Friday: at the end of the afternoon we are going to hitchhike in couples to Luxembourg. Upon arrival you can go out or discover the city in other ways.
Saturday: the hitchhiking competition to Basel continues! The couple who has the least amount of time overall wins the hitchhiking competition and receives the exchange trophy. In the evening there will be time to enjoy the local nightlife!
Sunday: you'll have the entire day to discover Basel. The committee will supply some fun suggestions, but you are free to go wherever you like. At the end of the afternoon we’ll take plane back to Schiphol, and we’ll be back in Eindhoven the same evening.
Included in the price:
o Overnight stay in Luxembourg including breakfast
o Overnight stay in Basel including breakfast
o Necessities for the hitchhiking competition (a map, an information booklet, app)
o Suggestions to enjoy your Sunday in Basel
o Flight back from Basel to Amsterdam
o Train from Amsterdam to Eindhoven
Subscription is pair wise, 1 person of the couple needs to subscribe and mention the person
he/she will team up with. Subscription is binding after the subscription deadline. A maximum
of 10 couples can join, next to the 4 couples of the committee, so be sure to register soon!
If there are more than 10 couples subscribed within the hour there will be a draw.
GELIFT
GEWIS is going to England! But how fast remains to be seen... If you go along with GELIFT, not only do you get an incredible hitchhiking competition, you also receive a cheap city trip to Manchester and London, and all that for the price of only €70!
What you get:
Friday: at the end of the afternoon we travel to Manchester by airplane. We arrive early in the evening, so there will be time to enjoy dinner and afterwards go out or discover the city.
Saturday: the hitchhiking competition starts! We hitchhike to London in couples. The first couple to reach London wins the hitchhiking competition and receives the exchange trophy. In the evening there will be time to enjoy the local nightlife!
Sunday: you'll have the entire day to discover London. The committee will supply some fun suggestions, but you are free to go wherever you like. At the end of the afternoon well take the train back to the Netherlands, and well be back in Eindhoven the same evening.
Included in the price:

GEWIS goes to Copenhagen! But how quickly is still to be seen... When you visit GELIFT, you get an epic hitchhiking competition, as well as a cheap city trip to both Bremen and Copenhagen. What you get:
Friday: hitchhike to Bremen in dyads. On arrival, there will be an opportunity to enjoy the local nightlife.
Saturday: we continue our competition with destination Copenhagen. Arrival in Copenhagen will be around dinner time. The first couple to arrive receives the GELIFT-trophy! In the evening we visit the city and end at a youth hostel.
Sunday: we spend the whole day in Copenhagen. The committee has some suggestions, but there is plenty of time to visit the city on your own. In the evening we hop onto the airplane back to the Netherlands and we'll be back in Eindhoven in just a few hours.
Included in the price:
• sleeping in Copenhagen + breakfast
• sleeping in Bremen + breakfast
• supplies for during the trip (a map, a guide, committee booklet)
• program in Copenhagen
• traveling back by plane to Eindhoven

Friday: hitchhike to Frankfurt in diads. On arrival, there will be an opportunity to enjoy the local nightlife.
Saturday: we continue our competition with direction Prague. Arrival in Prague will be around dinner time. The first couple to arrive gets the GELIFT-trophy! In the evening we visit the city and end at a youth hostel.
Sunday: we spend the day in Prague. The committee has some suggestions, but there is plenty of time to visit Prague on your own. In the evening we hop onto the airplane back to the Netherlands and we'll be back in Eindhoven in just a few hours.
