A lot of parents actually have no idea what their kid does at university. They hear stories from time to time, but that doesn't make them much wiser. That's why study association GEWIS has been organizing Parent Days since 2012: days created especially for parents of Computer Science and Engineering students and Applied Mathematics students.During these days the parents can get a taste of what it is like to study at the Eindhoven University of Technology. A special program has been drawn up which lasts approximately one whole workday. Among other things, guest lectures will be given, some alumni will talk about their time at TU/e and a chance will be given to apply your new gained knowledge from the lectures to actual problems.

POV: You are a first-year international student in a new country with all new people around you. You need to adapt to Dutch culture and don't get any chance to show off your own. Luckily for you, that time has passed.
During this amazing evening you can show everyone that your country also knows how to party! You can dress up however you want to represent your culture and show off your favorite traditional dance moves.
You will get a nice welcome shot when you enter. Make sure to come on time though because the first 100 beers are free!
Enjoy the music (which we will make sure is not all Dutch, don't worry), and party with your friends (who you should also
encourage to buy a ticket). Show us your heritage!

Are you a first year student? Do you want your parents to experience what it is like to be a student for a day? That is possible!
The ODC (parent day committee) will be organizing two parent days for the parents of first year mathematics and/or computer science students! These parent days will take place on the Friday the 13th and 20th of May.

Are you a 2nd or 3rd year student? Do you want your parents to experience what it is like to be a student for a day? That is possible!
The ODC (parent day committee) will be organizing 2 parent days for the parents of 2nd and 3rd year students! These parent days will take place on the Friday the 25th of March and Friday the 1st of April.
