The time has come, the big goodbye party of GELIMBO is coming. On Monday 19 December we will host our last party at Stratumseind as an active fraternity at GEWIS. The theme is A Nightmare Before Christmas, because there is no more horrible nightmare than this in the week of Christmas! Come dressed up like never before, we will too. Think of a scary christmas: scary Santa Claus, lost elves, etc…
It will take place at café Peppers on Stratumseind from 8.11 pm. There are free welcome shots, beer and soft drinks for only 2 euros and wine for 2.50. Subscribe on this list and claim your ticket! You can pay 1 euro at one of the upcoming drinks or at the door.

On Tuesday 29 November, GELIMBO's birthday, our annual Dieszitting will take place again. This time in a slightly different way. GELIMBO presents: the Dieszitting Experience! On our 16th anniversary we will take you into the mysteries surrounding a Dieszitting. Join the theater with live actors and find out who the infamous killer is in the Murder Mystery game!
As you know from us, it will be a great evening full of theatre, music and dance, but now also the search for the killer. There is a detective who tells us to interrogate four live actors, solve puzzles and finally solve the murder. Of course we will end the evening with drinks at GEWIS! It will take place in MetaForum 11/12 from 6.30 pm. Sign up for this escaperoom with live actors and become part of the Dieszitting Experience with your research team of 4 to 5 people. There are 100 spots available, so be quick! If the registration list is full when it closes, we use the first come first serve system.

Dear beach partygoers, Sun, sea and booze. Who's up for that? You! On Monday, July 11, 2022, the sunny GELIMBO beach party will take place! Do you want to lie on the beach and enjoy the sun, the sea and a drink? Well, so do we! It will take place at Beachclub Sunrise: the hotspot of the South, at Aquabest. Take a look at this beautiful location: https://beachclubsunrise.nl. In the afternoon there is plenty of time to chill on the beach and in the evening from 8pm onwards there will be three different food corners ready for the fully arranged dinner, including dessert and including a late night snack if you get hungry again. A drink arrangement has been arranged with wine, beer, soft drinks and some spirits from 8pm to 1am. What more could you want? **Be aware that there are two sign-up lists in separate tabs. The first sign-up list is for the lustrum beach party that will be held in the evening from 8 pm to 1am. You will have to pay 40 euros (70 euros if you are a graduated member). Your ticket includes access to this party and the food and drink arrangement. The second sign-up list is to go to the beach during the day. We will go to Aquabest Beach at 12 o'clock. It is always possible to join later. The entrance to the beach is 5 euros and needs to be paid by you at the beach. Be aware, you need to arrange your own drinks and food for the beach. It is that time again. The GELIMBO pub quiz is back! Do you think you know everything, or do you like to support your teammates who you think know everything? It's all possible at the GELIMBO pub quiz! And yes, this year it is really a PUB quiz again. It will take place on Wednesday, June 15 from 7:11 PM at the Hubble Community Café. Register with a team of 4 to 6 people and win the best prizes!
Before the pub quiz it is possible to have something to eat at Hubble. You can choose between the Daily Dinner Dish Meat or Vega. This is at your own expense, but Hubble likes to have an estimate of how many people are coming to eat. So register here and indicate your team name and food preference in the two registration lists!
Please note: There is a maximum of 100 places to be allocated and the registration list for the food at Hubble closes a week earlier, so register on time!

GELIMBO celebrates its 15th birthday, welcome to our lustrum! This year the traditional Dieszitting will take place on Friday March 18, 2022. It will be a great evening full of music, dance, theatre, drinks and much more to enjoy! Especially for you, our wonderful Prince will be announced again after the great carnaval season! It will take place at FAB28 on Fabritiuslaan 28 in Eindhoven. We are happy to welcome you from 19.11.
Register for this activity and reserve your ticket for this evening. The tickets are 3 euros each. If the registration list is full on Monday 7 March at 4 pm, a draw will take place between the registered participants. There are only 90 tickets available, so be quick! If the registration list is not yet full, we will apply the 'first come first serve' principle. If your registration number is higher than 90, you are on the reserve list. When a ticket becomes available, the next one will be contacted. That means that always, registration is a win!

As previous years, on Carnaval monday (February 28th) we will travel to beautiful Limburg to celebrate Carnaval in Mestreech. Whether you're a true Limbo, a Brabander or have never even celebrated Carnaval at all, everyone can have a good time in Mestreech. We will go there by train and we will meet at the station at 12:11. So come see how we party in Maastricht together with the Prince and GELIMBO. Wear your craziest costume and make sure you're subscribed on the GEWIS website so that we can make a Whatsapp group and won't leave without you.
Friday night the Prince of GEWIS and GELIMBO have something special in store for you. This year there will be a carnavalscantus! At FAB28 (Fabritiuslaan 28) we will enjoy some beers while singing along very loudly to all the best cantus and carnaval songs. You are welcome from 19:45. From 20.00 on, we will have an amazing cantus right there, with loads of drinks, singing, laughing and here and there a little punishment. How little the punishment, depends on you! We all hope to see you there! We have 100 tickets for sale, and the sale starts.... NOW! You can buy your ticket by subscribing to this activity. The prices are as follows.
If there are more than 100 subscriptions by 22nd of February 13:00, a raffle will be hold. For everyone who subscribes after this deadline, a FIFO holds.

We will be handing out “worstenbroodjes” during the lunch break to give you that extra boost for the rest of carnaval. So drag yourself out of bed and to the GEWIS room to get some delicious snack in between your lectures.

This year, GELIMBO returns with a very special edition of the annual GELIMBO Quiz. Year after year, you had the possibility to prove that you know the smartest people by joining them in a team and competing in the GELIMBO Pubquiz. However, this has always been a team effort, but now you will have the opportunity to show how knowledgeable you actually are. Can you outsmart all the other participants?
At the beginning of the show a brainteaser will decide who will be The One on the hot seat. In the spotlight, you will have to answer multiple choice questions! However, the other participants also want to be in the spotlight, so they will answer the questions via an online system before you do. As long as you keep answering the questions correctly, you will remain on the hot seat. As soon as you give an incorrect answer, another participant will take your place.
However, you want to be in the spotlight, because if you can answer the one million dollar question correctly while you are in the spotlight, you will win a prize! As there are multiple one million dollar questions, there are multiple chances for you to win a prize. After a one million dollar question, a new brainteaser will decide who will be on the hot seat for the next round! Of course, getting in the spotlight has some luck involved, so we will also give a prize to the person who answered the most questions correctly!

Hi there Carnaval enthusiasts! Yes, you have probably heard the stories: "Carnaval 2021 is canceled due to Mr. Corona", well yeah…no. obviously it's not! Carnaval has already been there for ages as well as the 'stropdaskroegentocht' (pubcrawl). That one may be cancelled, so we are organizing a take away StropTaskroegentocht! Subscribe for this activity as soon as possible, but at the latest Sunday the 6th of February, and order your bag for our great activity! During the online pubcrawl, we'll have an online platform where you can move and meet with a group from online pub to pub. You can at any moment move for a second to another group to talk with them and enjoy the activity with the people you would like to celebrate Carnaval with! In your bag will be some happy alcoholic or non-alcoholic surprises, depending on your preference. Each pub will have its own drink and it will be a surprise everywhere :D! This leaves you to choose which type of 'stroptas' (bag) you would like!: Alcoholic Beverages (€11,11 per bag):

During a week (or a long weekend) of celebrating carnival having a snack once in a while is almost obligatory. You can of course enjoy a ‘kapsalon’ or a ‘broodje bal’, but one of the most (in)famous snacks is a ‘worstenbroodje’ (not to be confused with a ‘frikandelbroodje’). Literally translated to ‘sausage bread’, it’s exactly what you expect and now you have the change to make these yourselves!
On Saturday the 13th of February, GELIMBO hosts an online baking workshop with expert cooks to guide you through the process. All you have to do are the groceries, for which we will provide a shopping list. There will also be a vega(n) alternative available. The activity starts at 14:11, so you’ll have plenty of time to recover from an optional hangover. We hope to see all of you on the 13th!

When GEBINGO at Thursday night is finished, we will all go to bed at some point after a night full of (responsible) festivities. And what can we expect from the morning after on Friday? Exactly, a well put together hangover breakfast! This usual hangover breakfast cannot be forgotten of course. So do your shopping, we will make a list, which can be found here (something different is also okay of course), and join GELIMBO starting 08:11 in the GEWIScord for an online hangover breakfast. For everyone who has to work; hopefully you have obtained enough energy for the day by then. For everyone who has a day off; keep hanging around! In times without lockdown and COVID, the 11th of February 2021 would have been the day where we kick off the carnival week with an amazing borrel. This year, there will be no carnival unfortunately. But do not worry, GELIMBO will not pass on the opportunity to celebrate something on the 11th of the month. We will not kick off the carnival week, but we will kick off our four days of fun activities. And what better way to do this than with an (online) borrel? To give you something more to do than just borrel from home, we will also include a BINGO (or actually we will be playing kien, like Limburgians do), where you can win fun prizes!
Once you subscribe for the activity, you will get an email with your kien-card and an optional shopping list with some things that our hosts will be consuming during the evening, so you can join them if you want! We also encourage you to make the experience more fun for yourself, for example by putting shots on a few numbers on your card ;) and by meeting with your friends in a seperate Discord call.
One last important thing:
Even though we do not celebrate carnival, we will not let 2021 go by without dressing up. So put on your craziest carnival outfit! You will actually get an extra kien-card if you do this! :)

Experience now a brand-new concept of online escape rooms: The Hunting Hour! Something very valuable is stolen from you. Together with your team you will try to catch the thief and retrieve what is yours. Evidence of the theft has been collected, divided and sent to the home address of each team member. During the evening of December 8, 9 or 10 your team will have an online crisis meeting where teamwork is more important than ever! Inspect the evidence, find clues and hunt the thief. You have one hour. Good luck. The Hunting Hour is a unique, creative and thrilling experience by GELIMBO and DSW. You will receive a package at your home address that you will need for solving different mysteries throughout the process of finding the thief that stole one of your most precious possessions. Each team must consist of 4 to 6 members. We encourage you to try filling your team to exactly 6 people for the ultimate experience. Each team must be enrolled once (so do not enroll per person). Upon closing of this subscription list, we will raffle among the enrolled teams. 20 teams can participate in this activity. When your team is selected to be one of the teams that can participate in The Hunting Hour, GELIMBO will reach out to the main responsible of the team (the person who enrolled the team) to ask the following from each team member: - A Dutch postal address (for sending the package of evidence) - A picture of the team member (passport photograph dimensions: ~148 pixels (width) x ~184 pixels (height)). The picture is optional, but highly recommended. There are three evenings (December 8, 9 and 10) when this activity takes place. Each team will obtain a slot on one of these dates. We kindly ask you upon enrollment the availability of your whole team on each of these dates. Starting times on each evening can range from 18:00 to 20:45. GELIMBO turns eleven plus two, KAPOW! This year the traditional Dieszitting will take place again, on Wednesday the 4th of December. Join us in an evening filled with music, dance, theater, drinks and other spectacular entertainment! At this amazing kick-off of GEWIS' carnival season the new Prince will be revealed after an epic musical show (which will be in Dutch!). Don't forget to wear your best carnival outfit. This year the event will take place in the Temporary Art Centre (TAC), located at Vonderweg 1. The doors open at 19:11.
Here you can dibs a ticket. Tickets (€3,- in pre-sale) that are not sold or picked up yet by the 22th of November at 23:59 will then be sold to anyone who still needs one. You can claim your ticket at any GELIMBO member. In the case that the dibs list is already full within the first three hours, there will be a lottery selection amongst the registered.
There are only 120 tickets available, so be fast! That means if your registration number is higher than 120 you are put on the reserve list. When a new ticket becomes available the first person waiting will be contacted.

After the lustrum festivities of last year, it is time to celebrate another special moment! On May 29, fraternity GELIMBO celebrates its 12½ year anniversary. And what is a better way to do this than with all of you at GEWIS including presents and pie?!
On June 11 you can decorate and eat your own pie at GEWIS for free starting at 10:00 am. The amount of pies is limited, so don’t be too late! After creating your own pie you can also grab a present from the present box! What a party!
Do you know everything, is your knowledge about music outstanding, or are you just looking for a fun night? Then prove yourself to others in a team of 4 to 6 persons during the GELIMBO-quiz at May 14, 2019! The quiz will be in English. The questions could be about everything. There are fantastic prizes to be won and it is going to be legen-wait for it-dary. This year the quiz will take place in Hubble, the studentbar in Luna. You can also eat here before the quiz will commence. Hubble does offer a few meals for around 6 euros. There will be a subscription list where you can choose which menu from Hubble you want to order.
Obviously, you don't want to start a quiz without the necessary BrainFood. As mentioned before, this year we have the possibility to have dinner at the brand new Café Hubble (Luna), where later the quiz will take place. Hubble offers the following menu: --- Daily Dinner Dish (DDD) (€5,50) --- Option 1: Kip Bonne femme (Chicken leg with potato, green beans, sweet pepper, mushroom and silver onion. Option 2: Vegetarian Carrot curry with coriander and coconut. Option 3: Fish stew Normandy with 3 kinds of fish and rice. --- Legendary Fries Indonesian Style (€5,95) --- French fries with salad, saté stick and saté sauce. For vegans it is possible to swap the saté stick to different kinds of veggies. After enrolling to this dinner list you still need to order your own food at Hubble; this list is just an indication for them how much ingredients they should buy, what keeps the prices low.
At monday prince Romy I will take you south to show everyone how to celebrate carnival in Mestreech (Maastricht)! We gather at Eindhoven trainstation around 12:11 to take the train south all together. Subscribe so we won't forget you! Alaaf!
