Cyber threats and cyber-attacks pop up in the media every day. A number of these threats and attacks are specifically focused on large enterprises, critical infrastructures and governments. But more and more attacks affect individuals and smaller companies as well. During this lunch reading, Bart Seghers will present a brief history on cybercrime will with some examples from recent history.
Bart is Consulting Manager at Thales cyber defense and has been active for over 15 years in the Cybersecurity area. During this time he advised numerous national and international customers regarding Cybersecurity. His focus has been on managing projects related to threat and vulnerability management, security monitoring, risk mitigation, security reviewing and security by design. Prior to his time at Thales, he worked as Security consultant at PwC (2007-2012). Bart studied Computer Science and Engineering at Eindhoven, University of Technology (2000-2006). He was an active member of GEWIS during this time and is looking forward to be back at TU/e for this reading.
