Compilers are often seen as black boxes which perform magic. For his graduation-project at Prodrive, “Compiling Motion Control Algorithms for Domain Specific Computer Architecturesâ€, Simon is developing a compiler using LLVM. He will take you on a tour through the scary world of compilers. In the end you may find that, even though compilers are complex, they also do a lot of cute stuff like subgraph isomorphism and graph coloring. If you end up writing your own compiler at home, no worries, that is normal behavior.
