Infomeeting study tour 2020

In the summer of 2020 Bacana (Brazilian Academic, Cultural And Noteworthy Activities) will organize the biennial study tour, this time to Brazil. We will, of course, visit universities and companies relevant for the study programs of our department. But that is not all! We are planning to visit some famous places like “Christ the Redeemer” in Rio de Janeiro and the Iguazu Falls. Also some city trips are on the planning concept, for example Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Salvador.*

Since we want to share everything we are planning to do and how you can participate we organize an information meeting. During this meeting we will introduce the committee, inform you about our plans and the costs, and what you need to do if you want to join us to Brazil. The meeting will take place on the 21st of March during the break (12.40-13.15) in Luna 1.050. Of course there is also an opportunity to ask questions.

You are allowed to participate in the study trip of 2020 if you are studying one of the programs of the Mathematics & Computer Science department of the TU/e in the academic year 2019/2020** and if you have obtained at least 60 ECTS in any program at the TU/e or any other university at the moment of enrollment for this study tour (which is in April).

If you are not able to attend the info meeting please mail to bacana@gewis.nl and we will provide you with the information needed.

*The mentioned activities are still conceptual plans. We mention these as an example of activities, and these do not represent the actual study trip program since we do not have yet decided on a program.

**If you are graduating in the summer of 2020 you can ask the exam committee to delay your official graduation (according to the OER) such that you can still join the study trip.
