On March 5th, ORTEC will organise a lunch lecture for GEWIS members. The speaker will be Gregor Brandt, consultant in the Operations Research area. This is a little introduction of the lecture, made by him:
"During your study of Mathematics or Computer Science you gather a lot of information and insight. There is however, a big difference between university theory and the real world. As a consultant in the area of Operations Research at ORTEC, I have been able to see various companies and experienced the differences between companies amongst themselves, and also the way every company will differ from the clean theory often taught at university. My lecture will be about the mentioned differences and I will illustrate this by providing real life examples of situations I encountered, both in the area of OR and IT.â€
