[CANCELLED] Harvest Hackathon
About this activity
Do you want to make a real social impact with the help of technology?🌍 Then this is your chance to help refugees in the Netherlands find the right help - faster and safer!
In collaboration with Harvest, we're organizing another inspiring Hackathon, this time focusing on connecting refugees to the support they need most.
The challenge:
Refugees often arrive in a new country with countless questions, from finding legal aid to accessing housing, language buddies, or psychological support. At the same time, there are many helpers and organizations eager to help, but matching those two sides efficiently is still a major challenge. Therefore, your mission is to build a digital platform that connects refugees with verified helpers.
You'll design a solution that makes it easy for:
- Refugees to identify and communicate their needs.
- Helpers and organizations to register, verify, and manage their active cases.
Together with your team, think of a smart matching system that connects requests with the right professionals; safely, efficiently, and with privacy in mind.
Planning:
The Hackathon will be on Saturday January 10th, starting at 12:00, lunch is included! You can register in a team of three and compete for exciting prizes. After the challenge, we'll wrap up the day with drinks and pizzas while we announce the winners (who will receive a cool prize) and celebrate your hard work!
