All employees, students and alumni of our department are invited for this inspirational symposium which will take place at Friday the 27th of May (at the Zwarte Doos: filmzaal. There will be interesting (interactive) presentations and lectures all day.

Innovation for business is an important focus of Eindhoven University of Technology. It is interesting to examine spin-offs which can be the first step from a successful idea to a successful company. This theme will be approached by the department and by GEWIS, based on their own areas of expertise.

GEWIS organizes the morning sessions. The focus will be on companies that were once spin-offs and are now successful companies. The department will focus on spin-offs based on research done within its department, during the afternoon.

The formal program ends at 16:15 hrs with a Keynote speaker: Bert Hubert from Fox-IT*. He will talk about utility and needlessness of science in software innovation. Of course there will be room for interaction during this inspiring lecture.
